Neurological

Neurological Disorders are conditions that affect the nervous system. A neurological disorder is a disease or damage of the central or peripheral nervous system that affects any part of the body.

Neurological
Brief description

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurological disorder that affects the control of movement. It occurs when certain nerve cells in the brain, particularly those producing dopamine, degenerate. Dopamine plays a key role in the coordination of smooth, balanced muscle movements. When dopamine levels decline, symptoms such as tremors, rigidity, slowness of movement (bradykinesia) and balance problems worsen.

Symptom
Tremors, slow movements, rigidity, postural instability

Treatment

At our physical therapy center, we take an individualized approach, assessing each patient’s specific needs and tailoring a treatment plan that addresses their symptoms and goals.

Brief description

Multiple sclerosis is associated with incomplete or incomplete transmission of information to and from the central nervous system.

Symptom

The most common symptom of the disease is fatigue and movement disorders.

Treatment

It is important that the physiotherapy programme is closely linked to the needs, expectations and perspectives of each individual and adapted to their level of fitness. Exercise programmes should be appropriately designed and readily modifiable in a safe environment without severe temperature changes.

Brief description

A stroke is the damage caused to brain cells by a lack of oxygen when the blood supply to an area of the brain stops.

Symptom

The most common symptoms are weakness or numbness in the face, arm or leg, difficulty communicating, impaired vision, impaired balance or a sudden very severe headache. But many people find it hard to remember all of the above and at the time of the stroke it is even harder.

Treatment

The primary goals of stroke management are to reduce brain damage and symptoms for maximum patient recovery. Once the patient’s condition has stabilized, rehabilitation begins. The main goal of physical therapy is to retrain functions that may have been affected by the stroke and more.

Brief description

Chronic pain could be defined as “a pain with no apparent purpose that continues beyond the period of tissue healing.”

Symptom

Most people who show the symptoms of chronic pain, are ‘accompanied’ by many tests that include x-rays, MRIs, blood tests, etc.
